Property Improvements

We’ve added a shed to house internet hardware to add internet access to the property. The addition of internet access has allowed us to connect surveillance cameras to the cloud and store footage for easy access. At the present time, we are installing Easy Storage Gate Software to allow us to have more control over tenant access. We’ve successfully used this software solution at many other storage facilities. With Easy Storage Gate Software, tenants falling behind on payments can be restricted access to the facility.

The existing fencing has been moved closer to the street, allowing us additional land to add 30 parking spaces for boat and RV parking. Due to the location of Oriental, NC, near the Neuse River, the demand for boat storage in the area is high. Parking spots have been moved to the front of the facility (upon entry), allowing us to free up more space in the back to add new storage containers. The addition of storage containers is ideal for tenants who have a large number of items to store.

Maintenance and clean-up were performed throughout the facility shortly after acquiring Anchor Mini Storage. Many storage units had been abandoned and needed to be cleared before renting. All units were cleaned and swept to refresh the appearance of the facility.

Although it’s location is nearby to the water, Anchor Mini Storage is located on high ground and is not in a flood zone. The facility is situated on Highway 55 in Oriental, NC. The closest central town to the facility in New Bern, NC, which is located about 20 minutes away. Over the past decade, New Bern has seen a steady increase in population, with a current population of about 32,000.

Anchor Mini Storage is located in Pamlico County, North Carolina. Our facility is in a central location, attracting tenants from many nearby towns such as New Bern, Grantsboro, and Arapahoe, NC.
