Property Improvements

A&D Self Storage was the first storage facility acquired by MMJ Self Storage. When we took ownership, several abandoned storage units needed maintenance. We began by clearing units and performing necessary improvements to prepare units for rent. A gate was added to enhance security, as well as the additional of several video cameras. Additional storage containers were added to the facility. This storage facility has a “barn,” which has been cleared to accommodate additional units. Sliding wooden doors were added to units to help increase revenue for A&D Self Storage.

The workshop space of this storage facility was also cleared and prepared for rent. Gravel has been added throughout the facility and surrounding containers.

Unit Mix

A&D Self Storage is not your typical storage facility. Due to this, there are a lot of unusual unit sizes. Unit sizes range from a small 3×6 unit to a large 20×30 garage unit. Many storage facilities say they have a storage unit to fit anyone’s needs, well A&D Self Storage definitely does. There are small inside units ranging from 3x6s to 8x10s. There are also inside garage style units that are all 10×16 in sizes.

Container units make up the majority of A&D’s selection of storage units. Most of these units are 8x20s, however there are also 6x8s, 8x8s, 8x10s, and 8x40s. The remaining units are drive up garage units. These units are perfect for contractors.

A&D Self Storage Location

A&D Self Storage is situated on Orchard St. in Hammonton, NJ. This facility is located within Atlantic County, NJ and attracts storage tenants from many nearby towns. Hammonton, NJ is home to nearly 15,000 residents and is only a short drive from NJ shore towns.

The location of this facility is nearby to the Atlantic City Expressway, attracting tenants from many NJ towns with higher storage unit rates.

Future Plans

Through the five years that we have owned A&D Self Storage we have made many improvements to the property. We will continue to strive to improve the property over time. The property does not have any other room for expansion. We have done our best to maximize the existing space with storage units.
